Slip-and-fall and other premises incidents are tracked as their own type across your configured news sources.
Premises liability incidents (incident_type: premises) don't currently carry a dedicated type bonus in the scoring model — unlike truck, DUI, wrongful death, product recall, nursing home, or workplace incidents — but they're scored on the same base severity signals as everything else: fatality, critical injury, multiple victims, and whether the incident occurred in your firm's state.
In practice this means premises incidents need a real severity signal (an injury serious enough to be reported as critical, or worse) to clear the default 60-point threshold — which filters out routine, low-severity slip-and-fall mentions and surfaces the cases actually worth writing about.
No dedicated type bonus currently applies to premises incidents — scored on fatality (+50), critical injury (+20), multiple victims (+15), and state match (+25) like any other category.
